GRID not looking right

Hey guys me again...

Right although I can't test any solutions yet I'll favourite this so i can next week...

Firstly I can't test any help you have at the moment because my power supply blew up... twice today!

Anyway I have the 4870 and although Race Driver GRID is running @ 1680 x 1050, 4x AA 8x AF, Max Detail and about 50-60fps, it doesn't look right.

Running on a 22" Samsung Syncmaster 2232w, I can't understand why it looks like its running at 800 x 600, it looks very pixelled and blocky even with the aa / af and also looks quite dull and misty, like theres a fog, it doesnt look sharp, crisp and bright like it does on my old mans pc (who is running on a 8800gts or gtx i believe), he done a video on fraps and it looked far better than mine.

I have all the latest updates bar service pack 1 and up for vista.

I have the latest DX10

I have the latest Catalyst drivers 8.7? or 7.8? summit like that, got them today.

Any ideas?

Disable Catalyst AI in the CCC and it should fix the problem.

disable post-processing and blur from the config file and it'll look way more clear.

my grid is totally hosed.. i patched it today with 1.2... also ugraded ATI drivers to 8.8.. upgraded OpenAL which solved the initial crash issue.. but i get a garbled display when the intro movie is finished playing.
