I loaded this up and eventually Grid started with eyefinity (took several attempts at getting the resolution to stick once grid would restart). The menus are screwed up though, they get truncated off the screen Once in the game everything seems good 5760x1200. Is this pretty typical?

Works great here as well, though I have the Steam version, so it's already patched to the latest.

Steam version but yeah the game works fine for me. Not a fun game, but whatevs

I know this thread is old but there does not seem to be anybody experiencing my issue. I have a radeon 7950 running three monitors in eyefinity. when I start up grid however the game duplicates on all three screens instead of extending. changing the config file to 5760x1080 does nothing when the game boots and that resolution setting gets ignored. running dirt 3 and nexuiz works without an issue on my setup so it would appear to be an issue with grid. any help or pointing in the right direction would be much appreciated!

Try delete the config file. The game should automatically make a new config file. Save the old config somewhere else, just in case.

Thats what l normally do when that problem occurs.

here is a setting to select the screen aspect ratio. The default setting is "Normal", an auto mode that always follows the current resolution's AR.
Selecting a specific ratio will stretch the screen to match the selection. Ratios available: 4:3, 5:4, 16:10, 16:9, 5:3.

An important thing to note is that the game does not support resolutions above 1440x900 and 1280x1024 if a graphic card with less than 512mb is detected. The game might incorrectly detect the amount of vram when using newer graphics cards, which will lock you out of using higher resolutions. Follow these steps to solve this problem:

1) Look for your hardware_settings_restrictions.xml file in your 'system' folder (default for steam version: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\grid\system\), and make a backup.

2) Open the file with Notepad. Scroll down to the bottom, remove the following entry and save the file:

data
res mem="270" maxWidth="1280"
/data

The restriction is now gone and you can play the game at your native resolution.

My friend just did it with his 7950 and it works with 3 monitors now. He has many resolutions to pick from.
