Green Tint ?

This may be the wrong forum, depending on what my problem is.

So I just tried installing a soundcard in my system, but after I rebooted, my display has a very noticable green tint to everything. Even the boot up screen was slightly green. I've tried changing the settings on the display and on the software side, but nothing changes the green tint.

My board doesn't have onboard video, and I don't have any other displays at this moment to test.

Does anyone have an idea to what this is ?

Thanks,

ya have an nV card :D . JK,

Made sure your dvi connector or analog is securely in place?

could be a bad monitor cable?

Test another monitor ?

After ya do all these best thing to do is try to borrow a card from a friend, or buy a cheapo card from a store that has a return policy and test it out.

Ok, so I just hooked up my monitor (Dell p1110) to my laptop, and it still has the green tint (yay for not broken 7900GT!). Is there some way I can reset all of the settings on the monitor ? ( I know this is the wrong forum, but whatev) .

Go to your control panel (make sure you're in classic mode) and see if you have Adobe Gamma in there. If you do, run it and see what happens, and if you don't, I don't know what to tell you.

my 2nd monitor LCD cable comes loose when i move my case and sometimes it is yellow... so i plug it in and it is fine, could be bad cable..

If you have a green tint and you hadn't made any adjustmants to the monitor then you probably have a bad cable or maybe even something in the monitor itself has gone. if the cable is replaceable then try a differant cable.
