Hi all,

I am getting back into the whole hardware side of computers and need your help in picking out a decent, super stable, PSU. I remember 3-4 years ago, it was like, who ever had the highest watts was the best. But now after you think about it, the extra wattage is worth nothing / might just jack up electricity cost.

RIG:
AMD Opteron 165 1.8 .. OC maybe 2.5
HIS IceQ x850xt
2 x Very fast hard drives (Raptors? ... have not decided yet)
Corsair 2 GB Ram
4 x 120 mm Fan
Antec Three Hundred Case
DvD+RW
Thermal Take CPU Cooler

I need something that is a decent price and super stable basically. Dont really want to go overboard on the wattage thing.

THANKS

The 400CX is the far better buy than the Silencer 500W. The 400CX has 30A on the +12V rail, the Antec EA380 has 27A on the +12V rail and the Silencer 500 only has 35A on the +12V rail.

The EA380 is a good choice.
