Hey everyone, I'm making a new computer and have questions about which lights I should use.

Any recommendation? I've used cold cathodes in the past and they were decent, but maybe I should go for LEDs? I'm looking for green ones.

Are these led tubes brighter then the cold cathode?

Only a bit dimmer than CCs IMHO. Also they're directional, rather than being omni like CCs. They're bright enough to easily light up a box in a brightly lit room, unlike most other LEDs for computer cases. And at night they're not blinding like CCs. They also come with a switch to turn them off at night.

Sig rig with red in the top, blue in the side:

Nice set up, I'm always a fan of subtle lighting, some cases can be so bright.

Hmm I do like super bright lights since my computer is in another room, maybe I'll get a pair of each. Do you use one or two tubes?

I use two tubes (red top, blue side) plugged into one dimmer controller-so that the patterns the LEDs put out are synced up. If you use separate dimmer packages, the lights will be independent in their pattern, FYI....which depending on what effect you're after can be neat.

Being pretty directional, the lights look best if the tube/LEDs itself is hidden and shinning on a target. Here's the DD Boxen with the lid off for the rigging (slightly different WCing plumbing).

I'm thinking about this case

And maybe swap the 2 case fans for green led ones. I think cooler master makes the best led fans, correct?
