Well, my current rig is aging badly, and I've been looking at building a new computer for a while. I came across this deal on the Vostro, and figured I'd get some opinions before I pulled the trigger.

I game, lightly. Source stuff is about the max I do, but theres some other newer games i'd like to try out. Mostly do photo editing, web surfing, chatting, music, etc.

Now, I have a 20x Lightscribe DVD burner already that i will throw in, I have a nice KB + Mouse, and speakers. I will buy more ram, but its cheaper for me to do that myself.

811 after coupon. Monitor goes for 300 something normally. So figure like less than 500 for the computer. Sufficient for my needs? I just want to be able to play my games without a problem, and do my photo editing and my normal computer tasks.

As for HDD space, this computer is going to be delegated to Media Center duties. Probably end up putting the 24inch screen with this computer and use my 19inch for the new computer (1280x1024 res)

Looks ok to me. The CPU shouldn't have any problems with Source, the video card is good, you're adding RAM... and for the price it's pretty nice.

That's my $.02 :)
