gray video after itunes backup

So, I backed up itunes and re-installed XP. I downloaded the new itunes 7.3 and now all video recorded from my kodak camers plays back in a muted black/white color. The thumbnails show up in color, but even the playback from regular windows is this color. I downloaded divx and installed it hoping that it fixed it, no luck. Any ideas?
