I tested the following games:

Flickering occured:
League of legends
Half life 2 (occasionally)
Two worlds
Killing floor

Flickering did not occur:
Chivalry medieval warfare
Enclave
Men of was assault squad

Basically the graphics flicker hard in those games which makes them unplayable.

Its a fresh installation of windows and the latest drivers are installed.

I understand that basically it is somewhat broken? Its a used laptop.

When I tried to record the flickering, it does not capture it - like it wasnt present, but on the display it is present.

Never attempted to game on a E6440, but I have seen flickering with the Intel graphics running heaven benchmark in DX9 mode, try using DX11 API if possible.

If not try the latest driver from the Dell website.

two simple things to remember.

1. it has no dedicated graphics card, it shares system ram for graphics so performance is going to be low at best.

2. you are probably overheating or at least running very very hot. This laptop was not meant for gaming, it was made for business, spreadsheets, web surfing, etc.

It may help to get a laptop cooling fan, but honestly you need to upgrade to something meant for what you are throwing at it.
