Been wondering if its still necessary to completly uninstall the previous drivers before installing new drivers for your video card? or have they gotten better about the install routines removing the old ones during the install of the new driver. I did the last install the old school way, removing the drivers running ccleaner then installing the new ones and ran into a issue where i did't recognize i had a graphics card at all. had to physically remove the my card and re-install it to get the system to acknowledge the card and let me install the new drivers.

thx in advance.
