Hey everyone, Im into editing video, encoding, etc. Programes like adobe after effects, premiere, and tmpgenc. What kind of graphics card do you recommend for the use of these programs. Also I wanted a video card with a tv out. My budget is probably 200 maybe a little bit over. Below are my specs

AMD AthlonXP 1.67ghz
768MB DDR Ram
Audiophile 2496 Soundcard
Windows XP Home

True, ATI is better than nV in TVout.
But as much better as they are, Matrox is that much better than ATI for these uses.
Depending on what you want, I'd suggest a P650 Millennium for a single monitor+TV, a P750 Millennium for 2 monitors+TV, or a Parhelia for 2monitors+TV if you like to do some gaming.
Matrox is well known for being the leader in NLE boards, with the best image quality and by far the best TVOut support.
Add to any of these cards a Matrox RT.x10 or RT.x100 capture/editing card, and you're in video editing heaven.
