My 8800 gtx died folding for the [H]orde.
My ppm will be going way down until I upgrade..
.. which will probably be a long time. I don't play games anymore.

There are 8800gt for $57.

The power savings should pay for the card in a year.
 
bake the 8800GTX and see if it fixes it.. if its already dead no harm in trying to see if it fixes the card.. i know those 8800GTX's had tons of heat issues.. but like kendrak said.. either go with an 8800GT or 8800GTS and overclock the living snot out of them.. should easily make more PPD then the 8800GTX plus you will have full cuda support..
