So I've got these headphones, and I feel like it's lacking in bass, and I'm wondering if I need an amp to cure these ills or it's just my ears. My Sennheiser HD280 Pro's pour out a lot more bass, and when I put my Grado's on, it almost feels like it's lacking in the bass department. This is when they are plugged into to the same source. I've tried straight from my Audigy and from a receiver, and the Senns still are pumping out more bass than the Grados. I was under the impression Grado's had the greater bass over Sennheiser. Is it because it's closed and I'm too used to it, and when I go over to my Grado's they just don't sound as good?

Three words:

Break them in.

(That means, run those Grados at your normal listening levels for 48 hours straight.)
