ok so I know the title is very unspecific....

I'm curious as to know why gpus' can handle heat better. Is it becasue they dope them more or something..Is that even possible? I mean what is it they do other then architecture that makes them better is it the materials? Can someone be specific and explain it to me or give me some links as ive searched and can't find what I'm looking for in enough detail to satisfiy my curiousity.

what do you mean handle heat better?

in terms of: the average GPU can be run at something like 70-80* C and be fine, while the average CPU is suggested to be run at ~60* C?

simply a matter of design/production tolerances, GPUs are likely to be subjected to higher operating temperatures due to less powerful cooling being available (space/noise constraints), so they're designed to handle it

there are mil/automotive spec CPUs (along with a whole myriad of other devices) that are designed for wider temperature margins than consumer parts, mostly for the same reason (most of them are designed for operating temperatures into the triple digits)

not really sure how to provide you with links or whatnot to read up on (as I'm basically going based on lectures and the like)

Yeah, Ive only noticed and heard through conversations.... I was just wondering what they did exactly to make them "(take the heat")?
