I have a HD 5870 and in GPU-Z it is reporting in the sensor log that VDDC Current is going as high as 58a (when in crysis etc) from 1.2a (idle) and VDDCI Current to 13.9a sometimes - are these readings normal for a HD5870?

Thanks, I was just looking to clarify id the VDDC Current reading should go as high as 58a and the VDDCI to 13.9a as my friend said that this was high and a risk to the psu.

But I thought this was normal as the 58a is at 1.1625a so only using about 78 watts whereas he said the psu may have a problem handling 58a but I told him it was only if the 58a was x 12v.

Can someone just check there gpu-z and see what the highest their amps go too when intensive benchmarking/gaming from idle.

Thanks, it was just my friend worried me and he claims to know a lot about computer. He was saying I should rma my card.

So my card outputting a vddc of 58a in gaming is normal then?

What is M L ^2 / T ^3
