Hi guys, I recently setup my dual 4870 box and everything is going fine with it. I want to setup a 2 more systems with each running either 2 - 4870s or 4 - 4850, but those systems would not have monitors connected so i wouldn't be able to "activate" those GPUs to run multiple clients.

Is there a work around to this ? I can get all the cards but unfortunately no more than 1 monitor.

You will initially need a monitor to setup the clients. Then, you can run headless by creating some VGA dummy plugs using the DVI to VGA adapters that come with the cards. Do a search here or on the folding forums for more info. It takes 3 resistors somewhere around 75 ohms (i used 68ohm 1/2 watt) shoved into pins 1-6 2-7 3-8 of the vga plug side of the dvi adapter.

The video card will think a monitor is plugged in, and you can extend the desktop to it, then fold away.
