I just got the Vantec STG-100 watercooling system, and I don't see anywhere that the GPU waterblock is compatible with my BFG nVidia 7900GT OC graphics card.
It has in the instructions that it fits the GeForce 7800 gtx, but that's the closest thing I see. I'm afraid that I'll have to take my card out and take off the original fan that comes equipped on it, just to find out that it doesn't fit or worse yet, fit, but not well enough to provide proper cooling. (The latter I wouldn't find out untill it was too late.)
Sorry if this has been covered before, but I looked for hours before posting.
Thanks for any assistance and wish me luck on my first ever WC project.

The GPU block may or may not be compatible. However, that kit uses the Hydor pumps which are notorious for problems. For that kind of moula you can get a real water cooling setup.

I was worried about the pump, but after doing tons of research, I found there is no such thing as a "perfect" kit, and being a newbie at this, I didn't want to piecemeal a system together. It seems that every system I ever looked at after doing some homework on it, had some sort of freakish flaw that made it garbage in somebody's opinion. I guess i just bought the best of all evils that I looked at.
Thank you though, I'll be keeping a wide eye on my flowrates now.

Hehe, I started with a Koolance kit and quickly realized I shoulda spent the money on something more substantial. You will too probably. When you do give Petras a look. He has some of the best stuff and great customer service.

Damn, I never even heard of these guys. They seem to have some awesome stuff. Seems kinda pricey for now but I'll keep them in mind for when I upgrade.
It was kinda tough scraping together enough money to build my first ground-up system, but now that it's done I can just upgrade when I need to. (Or when I can sneak some $$$ out from under my wife);)

Thanks. Everybody on here seems so helpful. I like that.

Petra is a member here on [H] so he's very useful, and always around ;).

To answer the first question... yes the GPU block will fit the 7900 series of cards aside from the 7950GX2.
