Im currently using 2 6950s flashed to 6970s. Im looking to upgrade.

I game on a single 24" now so 1920*1200. Is there a single GPU card that will offer me better performance by at least 20-30% that isnt a Titan or 690?

no.

at your resolution I can't imagine your cards not performing well anyways.

Hell, I run a single 7870 at the same resolution and am not lacking for performance.

a HD 7950 / HD 7970 overclocked to 1.25 - 1.3 Ghz will easily beat the HD 6970 CF by >20% in the latest demanding DX11 titles like Crysis 3, Farcry 3, Tombraider, Hitman absolution, Sleeping dogs, Max Payne 3.

(2) 6970 is about in line with a single very OC 7950, you're going to need an OC 7970 or 680 if you want to notice any improvement. Unless you're having some issue running dual cards there's not much reason to change to a single card.

Not a big fan of dual cards honestly. Id rather go to a single for power and cooling as im also doing watercooling and multiple blocks + more heat in the loop.

So if I can get a single GPU card that would give me a boost that doesnt cost 1k id highly consider the trade.

You can sell your cards for ~$300, get this Sapphire and sell the games and be out about 30 bux, and get a noticeable performance boost. Not sure if that PCB has waterblocks available.

I know it's contrary to the posts on here, but I seriously don't think you will be happy with the move unless you are pissed about 100-150 watts of power use.

you aren't gonna "feel" the difference unless you are really anal, need tessellation, or you are really sensitive to micro stutter and other shit inherent to dual cards.

^^^^ Agreed and I am anal about the fine detail
