ASUS- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121244

This rig manly plays CoD4 and now Age of Conan. current PC specs are
C2D 6400
2gig ram
7950GX2

in january i'll be updating the CPU and RAM - ram to 4gig and cpu to the highest and one i can afford for a socket 775MB.please post your comments / opinions thank you

my budget is targeted for under 200.

Do you want the best you can get for about $200 ? If so, get a 8800 GT 512 or 8800 GTS 512. They will provide better performance than your 7950 GX2 and both cost no more than $200 (the GTS 512 may cost a bit more, but there are some deals for about $200).

If you really just want something to hold you over, meaning the less money you spend, the better, then the 9600 GT is definitely the best bang for your buck right now, providing performance similar to a 8800 GT 512, while costing less than $150.

okay for the 9600 which of the 2 is best..bfg higher freq but single slot think it might run to hot? while the asus lower freq, is dual slotted with that massive heatsink. or if you have any other recommendation on brand please post link. thanks in advance

I remember hearing that the stock overclocked 9600s were having a memory problem an causing the screen to just go black forcing you to restart your system to regain video :(

I have the BFG idles at 40 max at 55....but I have a super cooling case so yours will run a bit hotter than that.

If you overclock to 750/1180 you should get 11k 3dmark maybe 12k depending on if you overclock your CPU.
