GPU to 'match' processor?

A friend is seeking to get a new GPU, and his current processor is an Athlon II x4 630. What GPU could he get that'd serve well without being bottlenecked by the CPU?
 
What games does he play? At what resolution?

As long as you're not going with a high-end video card (the HD 6950, GTX 470/570 or greater), I don't believe that any other (single) video card would cause the X4 630 to become a bottleneck.
 
Bottleneck shouldn't be a big big issue since even if it does happen, he can just upgrade his CPU some time in the future. A fast GPU even when bottlenecked will still run great.
