What's a good GPU that doesn't use extra power? My buddy has a Q8300 with integrated graphics. I'm sure his HP computer has a crap power supply so what's a good card to buy? He'll be playing Heroes of Newerth, Borderlands, and Left for Dead 2 mostly. I would prefer to use Nvidia because I don't want to format his computer since he has a Nvidia GPU right now. I've had horrible experiences going from ATi to Nvidia, or Nvidia to ATi without formating.

EDIT: Games will be played at 1680x1050.

I use an XFX low power 9800GT. It has the same specs as the 9800GT that require a 6-pin connector but only draws off the 75 watts that come from the PCI-X slot.

If you'd consider AMD, something like a 5670 doesn't require external power, but 1680 may be a bit much for it. It's very possible that his PSU will be able to handle 5750 which is better suited for that res. Without knowing the the PSUs capacity I wouldn't recommend anything more powerful.

Otherwise the 9800GT refd above is a good choice

Thanks for the suggestion guys, seems like they don't carry of these cards locally. Might have to get a cheap OCZ power supply. :(
