Have there been any plans made to support newer GPUs and any plans to have a more efficient Windows based SMP client?

It seems like those issues are severely limiting the potential of F@H. The Windows based SMP client is a wide margin less efficient than the Linux SMP client. And the GPU client is also outdated for modern GPUs.

I notice that there hasn't been much activity in awhile on the release of new clients. Have any new developments been announced?

Updated SMP client will be released at the end of January.

New GPU client with support for ATI HD2xxx and HD3xxx series will most likely be released in Q1 2008.

Dammit Rebel44 you beat me to it, and get off my threat list. I cant seem to shake you.

I would like to - give me few Q6600s and I would disappear from your threat list really fast:D;)

Waiting for new GPU client for my HD2900XT :)

Thanks for the quick replies.

I'm looking forward to a less buggy SMP client.

It's a shame there isn't any nvidia support yet. It's clear the 8xxx series would be a great folder since nvidia is already selling the 8xxx GPUs as floating point accelerators in their Tesla package.

Maybe Folding@Home is low priority project for nVidia ........:rolleyes::mad: - I dont expect NV GPU client for F@H this year - so I will continue to buy ATI GPUs;)....

Anyone know what changes will be made to the SMP client? Is it just a new expiration date like the previous updates?

They didnt released any info about changes in new client so we will have to wait......
