I've seen bits and peices, here and there(if only I could remember where). Has anyone one put together a GPU performance spreadsheet recently?

My 8800gtx(177.83 driver), with shaders @1400 under XP64 = ~4700ppd

I hear 8800gs/gt are good for about same PPD 4-5k

I hear 9800gx2 are about10k, if you can take the heat and noise of the fan.

ATI fans weigh in...

9600gt, Pny , Shaders kicked to 1799-

If the fan on the PNY 9600gt wasn't fixed at 35%, id be at 675/ 1900/1800 :(

That stinks... some XFX cards had the fan speed locked as well but either a replacement fan (variable speed) or a bios update fixed it. Have you tried contacting PNY about it to see if there's a fix? An aftermarket cooler would fix that right up.. ;)

Good OC for that fan speed.

qwarren, you can't just use RivaTuner to up the fan speed? Dang, xfx really messed up the fan of some cards.
I'll see your 1799 shaders and raise ya 85... :D

I'll see your 1884mhz shaders and raise ya 6!...:p. (could go higher, but near 1900 is good for now, w/ core/shaders linked or not). :D

nomad, look @ my right-hand pic, notice I set my core @ 667, now see the "Pixel fillrate" is the same as the 64 Shader 9600GT @ 10.7GP/s. I guess the pixel fillrate is sorta dependent on ROPs, while Texture fillrate is ofc dependent on # of Shaders, my 42.7GT/s being exactly double your 21.3GT/s 9600GT, cool. Thnk you 128 Shaders. :D

f@h likes shader horsepower more than pure core speed, like I mentioned, for folding I run 650/1890+/2K(shaders unlinked), 24/7 I run 700/1750/2K. Linked, 1890 shaders would mean a 756 core, which I'm not content w/ running (yet).

No pretty pics (to lazy) but here ya go:
98gx2: 5.3k each core, 550/851/1849 (Rivatuner likes moving some parts in 3 or 4 mhtz increments for some reason).
88gt x2: 4.8 - 5k each card (depending on WU), 547/801/1853 (I think I need to up the core and mem on these to get it closer to the output of the gx2)

Edit: Currently running 3x 5506 and 1x 5504

I get a average of 4500ppd from my 8800gs with a slight OC of the shaders.

Finally managed to get one of the new larger WUs on my 4870, getting 4k ppd off a 4745. Normally averages around 2500

Nice! 'bout time you ATI guys get some lovin. Hopefully they'll get better as they go along.

it's still only using I think... 320 of 800 shaders if I remember right. Once a new core comes out that unlocks the other shaders I think it'sll be good.

Fixed it for you. :D :D(just ribbin you)
Pny has fixed the fan for whatever reason, riva doesn't work, and since i'm getting `4k/day, i'm just not messing with it. Flash the bios on the card, mod the fan or get a new heatsink. All for 500ppd more. No, i'd rather collect the 4k a/day.

oooohhhhh sounds like motivation and justification I'm looking for to go ATI... details please. I'm thinking about a 4870. 4870x2 is overkill for this PC and breaks the budget. (Folding is not the only use for this pc)

DISAPPOINTED!!!! <<< not any more

I can't adjust the shader clock on my brand new PNY 260gtx.
Is it because I'm using Server 2003 and 177.92 derivers for XP?
My PNY 8800gtx shaders are doing 1425, up from 1350.

I WANT MORE PPD!!!! WHAA WHAA WHAA

BTW: how do I get the image to display in the thread rather than as a link?

EDIT: User error. Somebody didn't realize he was adjusting the 2d settings instead of the 3d setting in Riva Tuner. I won't mention my name at all....

576/1000/1550 gpu/mem/shaders Now we're folding with GPU in style and plenty of heat. 5506project=about 6200ppd - the first whole WU.

EDIT2: Same clocks, flattented out to about 6480ppd
