GPU Memory Experiment

My friend said he had a program that allowed him to dump more memory for his GPU (x1400) from system memory. I guess the program sets the instructions for the hardware then removes itself.

Anyway, the whole point is to give the GPU a little more memory to work with if it needs it.

Anyone know what app I'm talking about?

His chip uses HyperMemory, which is slow. I think you can set the cap in BIOS.

The reason I ask is because I also have the same vid card in my Dell e1505 laptop. I have checked the options in the BIOS and I updated the BIOS today but I don't see any options for upping it.

It should increase the memory by itself when it needs it. There is no reason to allocate more memory then it needs.
