I been using MSi afterburner with its OSD in all my games now... Heres the prob, i thought it was cpu bottleneck but...how?

Black ops - I know this game isnt taxing but.. everything turned to high playing on a 24 inch Dell at 1920x1200 .. 90 frames.. I know 90 is more then enough and im not worried about the frames so much..just wonder why i only get at tops 30% gpu usage ...

Same goes with Homefront - 70-90 frames only 40-50 Gpu usage...

Even 3dmark11 doesn't max out the gpu's load only 40-50% usage so i dont care about my 3dmark score just wondering if i am getting 8200 score with only 40-50% gpu usage if 3dmark were to max out, shouldn't my score be higher?

but i ran a sandra gpu test and it maxed all gpu cores...odd

Check sig for hardware details....

5970+5870 Trifire - all 900 core 1200 mem

im running 10.12 drivers since they are the only stable drivers i have found to work well

blops and homefront is mostly cpu, optimized more for console than pc. you are running a really old game engine and it only takes a little bit of your gpu power. play something like bfbc2 and crank it up if you want gpu usage.

I will load it up and take some screens...but why 3dmark11? that was the oddest thing... i knew cod and home where old engines

No idea about 3D mark. Might be some sort of xfire scaling issue. I have just run single card setups for 3 years and am not much help beyond the initial post. I am sure it is more a software issue than hardware though.

Dragon Age 2 - uses 80% max settings @ 112FPS

I took a screen but it doesnt show MSI burner in it

Ok so something very interesting just happened... I uninstalled the 10.2 drivers and loaded the 11.2 drivers just to see if that was the problem.. looks like it was... the higher score is the 11.2 drivers
