Hi Everyone,

I'm currently in the market for a new GPU. I was looking toward getting a 1060 or 1070. My question is with my current CPU will my graphics card be bottle necked? Also how large of a FPS increase will I be receiving from this GPU upgrade from my current 760 GTX.

I predominately play Black Desert online, and Smite. I was looking at playing Watch Dogs 2, Paragon, Witcher 3, and Ghost Recon Wild lands. I don't feel the need to run any game on "Ultra", however i'd like to have at least a consistent 60 FPS on High settings.

First of all, there's no 4675K cpu out there, only 4670K. Secondly, at that resolution you'll be fine with 1060 and won't be bottlenecked by cpu (you need to OC though). 1070 will be a bit overkill unless you'd like to use DSR or planning to upgrade monitor.

Sorry, I'm just returning to this forum. I needed to update my signature on the fly. Also I have a 1920x1200 not 1080. Just went home to check.
 
If you use V-Sync then a 1070 will be able to hold a steady 60 FPS better than a 1060 could, especially in newer games.
 
from a long time of doing this, I've learned over and over, buy the best video card you can afford, while a 1060 may do you right now, a new monitor, or in 6 months a new game may cripple it. If you can afford the 1070, get the 1070

I could afford titan xp but went with mere 1080 and think I overspent and should've just got 1070 :D
