Building a new computer and i have a B450 with 8gb ddr4 (i bought and extra 4gb that i picked up cheap so adding up to 12 now with a click away from getting to 16 wouldn't be hard in the future), WD Blue 500gb m.2 with a 650 modular Corsair PSU.

I'm leaning towards a Ryzen 1600 but not sure what GPU to get. I'm into watching videos online with youtube and Netflix and my top two uses.

I would like to start to uploading videos to youtube for a future start in my own channel. Any suggestions before I buy said CPU/GPU.

Thanks in advance.

More info will help. What’s your budget for the GPU? What resolution is your monitor. What games do you play?

The Ryzen 1600 would be fine. Just get a cheap GPU like a 1050/560 if that's all you're going to do.

No gaming just multimedia video

HP 27er 27-inch Display
  • 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz
  • 1000:1 static; 10000000:1 dynamic
  • 6 ms gray to gray with overdrive; 14 ms gray to gray (typ)/ 28 ms gray to gray (max)
  • 1 VGA; 2 HDMI (with HDCP support)

Will it help me on editing future youtube videos? Cause Microcenter has it on sale right now.

Not likely.

Get a dedicated GPU.

Problem with an APU is that it will throttle when both compute and graphics are taxed.

Just get a 1060 or 1070, that will be plenty for long to come.

Here's their Ryzen 5 deals

What about a 970? I saw one locally for $140.
