I am not sure if posting something like this is legit, if not, im sure this will be deleted. Apparently Kyle has been given the chance to give away 5 new Nvidia video cards, all capable of folding. All you have to do is reply to this thread to enter. Good luck everyone!!

I wish we could get something like this for just folders.

 
Well I hope at lease one folder get a card. But I only counted 15 folding tags on all the pages, out off almost 800 entries. That is only a 9% chance a folder would get one. :mad:

So more folders need to sign up. PLZ :cool:

 
Glad I could help. I would really like to have these end up in the folding team too. Maybe we can ask Kyle to include a little note about the [H]ard folders with the winning video cards. Maybe they might feel some little obligation to look us up and do a little bit themselves then.

Just a thought.

 
One reason to help find the cure.

The more CPU's GPU's folding the faster we get answers, the sooner we will get a cure for cancer.

So if a folder gets a card that will me one more GPU.

using your metaphor it would be more like only people who are going to ride the bus 24 hours a day and 7 days a week get to sit at the front of the bus.

And I don't think anyone was claiming anyone was more or less deserving, we were just hoping more really. The [H]ardforum folding team in the #1 team in the world because it is something that Kyle takes some pride in and all of the members take a lot of pride in that too. These GPU work units are getting a lot done and really adding a lot of horsepower required to keep us #1 in the world.

 
No, I did not asked Kyle to rig the contest, or implied that only folders should win. I just stating that I hope a folder would get one. But the odds are low.
This form is in the DC section, where other folder are. I am encouraging them to sign up so our odds can improve. We here at Horde try to help each other out.

I do hope not to offend you. And I don't wish to start a flame war either.

I don't think he meant that a folder must get one of the cards, or that anteriority to team members should be exercised over all other applicants. However, if someone who folds does happen to win, that person will do a lot more with the card than simply game and output an image to a display. This is the DC forum after all, and people here are very dedicated to the cause.

Not even close. I have a hard time believing that anyone could honestly believe that.

And seeing as you've never posted in the DC section before, why all the negative threadcrapping now?
