So i'm really not as familiar with the low end GPU's as I thought I was.

My GF has a 1440x900 LCD and mostly plays The Sims 3 and other goofy games. Currently she is using an onboard 785G and its struggling. I want to spend roughly $50 to $60 for the best performance possible. Heat production is a major factor though.

PCIe is fine.

If this is not something you Need Right Now, then keep an eye on [H]ot Deals and slick deals untill one in your pay scale shows up. but HD4550/9600GSO on up would be fine.
 
I used the 4670 and I tell you. Its going to be extremely extremely hard to match its value right now.... Its only weakness is 512MB of Ram but Even at 1080P Sims 3 really ins't going to be bottlenecked...
 
I guess either none of you guys clicked my link or don't like MIR's/BCB, which is all good, but i'd still prefer a $62 4770 1gb card to a $64 4670 512mb anyday of the week.

How about because MIRs suck and we dont like waiting 2 months for the money back.
 
But they are giving you a more expensive product for less, so I'd call it a wash.

Its not less expensive when you have to wait 2 months to get your money back IF it works.

And on top of that the 4770 is not going to give huge gains over the 4670 at that res.
 
apparently not many hold your standards as it's now sold out.
