GPU core too cold?

I run an old BGF Geforce fx 5700ultra. when my system idles, my GPU core temp is always very low, currently it is 26*C according to the nvidia display. I have it running at 475mhz core and 906mhz RAM clock speeds (475/900 are the retail speeds). I have the air intake right over the card(I have an SFF e-cube and a drill press) with a 120mm fan on the other side, but I dont think its much below 24-25*C where I am. It seems odd that it would run this cold.... anyone else have this card or a similar one that can help?
 
Is being cold a bad thing! :cool:

Feel the heatsink, does it feel warm? Maybe it isn't picking up the right temp?

Well...
First) Has the card always been running that cool?

Second) is it now performing like it should and you expect it to? If it is functioning normally and assuming your sensor is reading the right temp. then thats great. People get special water cooling rigs to get their temps that low :) It might also be just that its the normal temp for that card :confused: I never owned one so I would not know.
 
game preformance is fine, I have a 2.8ghz p4 w/ 1gig dual channel corsair ram and get around 80-100fps in a regular game of ut2k4. I'll touch it now, and tell you....yeah, the GPU heatsink is definitely slightly colder than the air around it or dang close to, so I think it is accurate....
 
I want my 6800 GT to run at those temperatures!! :mad:

Then we would see whats what!

My lowest core temp was like 47 C when I had my 9 inch diameter fan sucking cold air from outside and blowing directly at my card!
