GPU Cooling Setup Opinion

So, I went looking and kind of found a few things, lemme know what you guys think of this setup and if you think I would be better off substituting one thing for another:

Swiftech MCR220 120.2 Rad $50
Swiftech MCRES-Micro Hi-Flo Res. $25
Thermaltake P500 Water Pump $50
Swiftech MCW60-R (x2) GPU Block $100
Swiftech HD5870-HS (x2) Heatsink $60
Primoflex 3/8" tubing $10
Misc Fluid/fittings/fans $100

Total: $425 after shipping...roughly.

The goal is to have a quiet, cool system. Fans are Apevia brand 57CFM @ 24db in a push setup with the rad.
 
for $16 more (from sidewindercompters.com) you can get a MPC655 (aka Laing D5) pump that will flow a ton more water- though it is 1/2" native fittings. or for the same price from that same site, you can get the MCP355 which is 3/8" native, doesnt flow as much as the 655 but has way more head pressure and flow rate then that thermaltake pump. its up to you.

also that Swiftech HD5870-HS is interesting, never seen that before.

The one I purchased off newegg had an adjustment for the flow.
As I understand it there's one with and one without the adjustment.
At the factory setting I had a cyclone coming out of my gpu block, lol

Well, for what im wanting to do, is the 355 up to the job? I understand im not doing a whole lot in terms of watercooling setups but I just want to make sure I dont buy an underpowered pump designed to run say, a single cpu block. I'm not questioning your knowledge, im just questioning to gain some of your knowledge.

What is head pressure and what are the advantages of having a higher head pressure?

Im wanting to stick with 3/8 tubing because I dont want my case to look like a plumber's playground lol but will 3/8s tubing allow for sufficient amounts of water to get to and from the gpu blocks?

Ya, I did a bit of searching trying to find a waterblock for the gpu that had the connections NOT at the top of the card. The case im using has the PSU situated right next to the expansion slots and there is only about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of clearance between the card and PSU casing so that rules out a lot of the full coverage waterblocks. It's a bit of a design flaw for a case that comes with adapter rails to replace the top 190mm fan with a 120.2 radiator setup and is touted as being watercooling ready (although it does have predrilled holes in the back, like most decent cases these days).
 
head pressure, usually measured in feet, is basically the amount of lift pressure the pump can push against. for instace 20 feet of head means the unit can pump water up 20 vertical feet before it craps out. (the scientific definition is more involved, but that is the general idea)

ive been running the 355 for years in one of my computers almost 24/7, it has way more power then that thermaltake pump you mentioned and would have no problems pumping thru several more waterblocks if you ever decide to add more. i wouldnt have mentioned it if it wasnt any better and cost more :p.
