I was wondering, I have been thinking about the 9800 Pro ( I got at frys for 250$ with no rebate oor anything 250 off the bat if any of you want to know) I want to know how far I can overclock it. Its just a normal ATI one, so no its not a Sapphire or anything like that. It probably doesn't make a big diffrence. Anyhow, my question is whats a good system for cooling the card if i oc it? I plan to use Powerstrip to OC if that matters. So, I'd like some suggestions on a good way to cool the card, and how far the card can OC itself.
One more thing, i don't plan to get water cooling for quite some time, but please post Water Cooling Hardware for cooling video cards too please.
Thanks in advance. =]
okay last thing i swear, i just got a XaserIII case, i plan to upgrade the fans because theyre just weak for me, i wanted to know what 80mm fans i should get to replace all 7 stock fans. and i wanted to know how accurate the temperature was on the temp monitering system. i put the monitering thing on the die so... yea... anyhow, its reading about 42C and its a 2400+ oced to a 2800+ on an SLK-800 with a TMD fan and with a zalman arm with a 120mm Thermal Take Dual Ballbearing arm over it. so its 42C~ with the case open.
my 2400 is not a barton, its a B core T-bred from Newegg so yea... um.. its running at 166 @ 13.5x so how far can i take this? i dont really want to mess up anything so id rather take advice before i take it up anymore... im very paranoid.
