Gpu block

Hi, I'm planning on getting a water cooling setup but am a little unsure about what to get. So far I have:

Pump: Hydor L30
Cpu Block: TDX for an A64
Rad.: Black Ice Extreme (single fan)

Now for the GPU block, I have narrowed it down to either the Maze 4 or the Waterchill block. For the chipset, either the Maze 4 or the Swiffy MCW20. What do you suggest.

i say dont bother with the northbridge and get the maze4 for the gpu

I would highly reccomend you skip the chipset block. As for the GPU I have a Maze4 on my 9800XT and it works great. Scrap the Bix for a D-tek procore 120 dealy too.
As for pumps I like the MCP-600 myself.

I agree...putting a block on your NB will only introduce more unnecessary heat into your system. Go for a block on the GPU, instead.

Also, i'd highly recommend getting something instead of the Black Ice Extreme...I too am buying a new system, but i've only heard bad things about those radiators: they are overpriced and do not perform well.

2fresh is selling nice heatercores(i think they are heatercores...but they could be rads) in the FS forum...i think im going to get one myself.

If ya dont get something there, i suggest a Danger Den Double Heatercore. It costs less and offers more performance. The only downside is you need to get your own fan(s) and shroud, unless you buy from them. Personally, i'd just order fans and make my own nice, custom shroud to match my case.

Just out of curiousity, why no chipset block?

A lot of people don't think it does very much good for the extra money and hassle. Many motherboards just have passive cooling on it and that's fine. If you already have a hsf I'd just stick with that.

FWIW, Xice makes a relatively decent GPU cooler.

They don't really do much more than restrict flow.
I'd do two 120 size HC's in paralel over one double HC myself too. I average like 23c under full load 24/7 with my setup.

Not only is there the D-tek pro core, but you can get them clearance too... minor non-perfomance affecting dents for i think $10 less.

it comes with a shroud, and you need a shroud. if you dont use it, you have a dead spot in the middle of the fan, but with the shroud, that problem is eliminated
