GPU artifacting

Rows of purple boxes and a moment after i get a
"Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."


Some other cases of desktop conundrum is just flat out freezing and enforcing a force reboot.


Is this a case of bad GPU? should I return this? it is a 560 ti from gigabyte and using the new beta 290 drive.

I only caught it happening on desktop and not in game and I played for as long as 2-3 hours in a sitting

yup i'd say its trashed. overclocked at all? if so go back to stock settings

thank will probably just go back to ati .. nvidia and their bullcrap drivers and done for.

now im just getting the kernal recovery reverted to 285 driver

If you consider that card done for, then it sounds like it's ready for the oven.

it works on the 8 and 9 series cards. haven't seen much luck with it working on the fermi and G200 cards. so take advantage of the 30 day return from newegg.

560ti does get higher than the competitor 6870.

should i just buy another 560 from a different brand?
seems like theres lots of people getting that kernel driver error

happens at the most random time when Im not even gaming, just browsing.

Do you have the GV-N560OC-1GI ? Because there are many people complaining about similar problems that you have and for some a BIOS update was the solution. The card "needs" a higher GPU voltage, similar like other GTX570's do.
