the system is a i7-860 with 2 gtx 260's. has been in this configuration for over 6 months without fail. in the past week system has become horribly sluggish. first noticed this while playing sims 3 and folding game kept freezing for 5 seconds every 10 to 15 seconds. with gpu-0 off systems runs fine. gpu-0 also folds as it should but makes the systems sluggish as stated.

Does GPU 0 also slow down intermittently or randomly crash? If so, switch that card to GPU3. This has been my temporary solution for a problem GTX 295 in one system, which was running two GPU2 clients fine for months. You'll take a PPD hit but it might stop the weird issues you've been seeing lately.

whole computer crashed last night but the client doesnt crash.
Interesting. I have another ssytem that has been crashing. I guess you're running the GPU2 client on these cards?

check your temps and check your overclock. also try to check which WU's causing it to be sluggish. usually its always the same WU doing it.

Do you have another video card you could swap with that 260 and see if there's any difference?

Let us know how this goes. I'm very curious myself.
