GPGPU on Intel IGPs?

In terms of the two brand-agnostic GPGPU standards (OpenCL and DirectCompute), is it reasonable to expect that Intel IGPs will be supported once GPU-accelerated programs start to take off? While they are clearly technically inferior to AMD/Nvidia offerings, Intel's graphics are by far the most ubiquitous. So are there any hardware limitations which will prohibit newer Intel IGPs from GPGPU functionality?

Since Direct Compute, and likely OpenCL will support all DX10 capable GPU, including Intel's best: the X4500HD.

Unfortuneately, the X4500HD is only as fast as a card that is no longer in production. (8400G, but lower then 8400GS). Of course, this stat takes memory bandwidth into account, but the nVidia low-end cards use DDR2 anyways.

Yeah, I expect the X4500HD will support Direct Compute 1.0, and some varient of OpenCL, but don't expect it to be fast, and we really don't know if there is a hardware limitation to this, but we do know nVidia's IGPs support Folding@Home (a GPGPU application).
