Got the wrong noctua nh-d14

Hello, I accidentally ordered the noctua nh-d14 2011 se, instead of the 1155 socket version. Should I return the whole thing, and get the right one, or is there a certain part that I could buy that would make it fit?

Probably just need a different mounting bracket.

The bracket already comes with multiple mounting positions, so it may work as-is.

Actually, a quick google search shows that 1156 and 1155 use the same mounting holes.

I know the 1155 and 1156 have the same screw holes, but the noctua cooler I got was for the 2011 socket. I don't know where to get a 1155/56 bracket, as the cooler did not come with one.

Search for Noctua mounting kits on Amazon. I see a few listed there.

Just noticed that if you are willing to wait for Noctua to ship you the mounting kit, you can get it for free.

You will probably need to verify that that form is valid for the cooler you bought.
