Ok so after checking my connections... I noticed that pin 4 and 6 were shorted together somewhere in my crap ass soldering job. So I fixed it and BAM it works like a charm!

This was THE BEST $15 mod I have ever tried. I LIKE IT!!!


In the pics it is running CrystalControl.
 
That's about as useful as replacing the software systray with a hardware systray.
 
Where did you get it and was it hard to do? If it was 15 bucks I may be interested
 
It is usefull.. I have it hooked to MBM so on the bottom line it scrolls, CPU Temp, Physical Mem % used, date and time. Top line shows kbps in and out so I can make sure my conneciton is at top speed.

I got it off of Ebay and wired it up using this: http://www.icehw.net/article.asp?id=99

It was easy, if you can solder a parallel cable... you can make this work.
