Got the 2405 today!

i must say its quite a sleek monitor, but what really took me back isnt the size as much, (as i am coming from a 21" CRT) but the sharpness and clarity of this monitor.

It is a very nice monitor with very great colours and hopefully it will last me a long time.

However one thing id like to see is, if its possible how do i get more of the cockpit in the screen? As i play Flight Simulator most of the time,

Coming from a 21"CRT i thought id see more of the cockpit but what i see is exactly the same in the 24"?

I have it set at 1920 x 1200 and had the 21" at 1200 x 1600.

Also im running a 6600GT card and have no problems performance wise, so its a good thing i dont need to upgrade my GPU.

Sounds like you have the LCD monitor resolutions different, but what about the resolution on the game itself. I think the reason it looks the same is because of the resolution set on the game and not monitor. You should look into the games options to change the resolution.

You'll only see more of the cockpit if the game supports WD resolutions and FOV.

i am running it 1900 x 1200 as the ingame menu you can choose the resolution, so ive set it at that,

i play fs2004 also, quite a bit. the standard cockput in 2d is what oyu see. you will see the same in 640x480 as 1900x1080 or whatever. That is my knowledge at least. If you have aircrafy with a virtual cockpit you may be able to see mroe
