In my head i thought "October, November, December", so I typed "few months"
but reality = 4 or 5 weeks as I want to complete by early December.

I am not a good cram study person. :confused:



@AMD_Gamer ... are you going for your cert as well? Aren't you doing Cisco
stuff too??
 
Enjoy the book, just ordered myself...I've read the one for 4 and passed the test with no issues, however, I do support multiple prod environments, as well as going over the blueprints..and working with my Lab at home so i'm sure that had a lot to do with it. I studied for 4 weeks after reading the book..etc. I also took the course after the taking the test..so it worked out for me.

Got 16GB for the iMac when I went to the new 3.4GHz i7. Love it. I actually run my vCenter under Fusion on my iMac now and don't even notice that it's there.

I am still doing Cisco but got sidetracked with school and my new job.

I plan to do the VCP at some point.

This book has everything you need to pass?
 
I would say it's a great help and goes above and beyond what's covered on the test, however, I will say that following the blueprint is crucial as well as actually doing what you are learning in a Lab. I have to say also that I had already gone through standing up and upgrading 2 4.1 U1 environments and supporting said environments for about 10 months previous to taking the test as well.

Everyone is different, I learn by doing, some people can pick up a book and they just know it, i'm not built like that..I actually have to do it for it to sink in.

BTW, if you are going for CCNA, Todd Lamle's Sybex course was simply awesome. I also followed a 60day track from howtonetwork.net, but again, I had pretty good experience at work at least with the layer 2 network so that was a huge help.
