I just got in my e6600. It was replacing my 6300 that was moderately overclocked. I'll be damed if I didn't reset the BIOS before putting in my new chip. At 366 it started at a little over 3.29ghz...not too shabby...especially with what I feel is a good board but not for overclocking.
After I noticed it in Windows, I rebooted and aimed for a lower clock of 3ghz--though I'm very confident this chip will yeild high dividends just like some of the others. I even forgot to get the info off the chip so I really have nothing to compare it to.
The cpu is very cool under load and I'm happy as can be. I WAS going to get rid of this board but I'll stick it out unless I decide to get another 7950.
I just wanted to have a 3ghz chip...that was my goal. Anything more is gravy.
Thanks for lending an ear, I mean eye to my happy moment. Rest of rig in sig, you dig?
