Got myself a free laptop, don't know anything about it.

My girlfriend's mom gave me her old laptop for free because she got a new one, and she told me the one I got is older, messed up physically in two spots, but I gladly took it. A new toy to play with it. Well, the power connector is messed up, and even when I opened it up I couldn't get it powered because I didn't have a soldering gun to fix the disconnected part, so...

I know they used it to get online via AOL and a modem, and it served a general purpose, so i'm not sure what I could use it for if anything, but until I take it somewhere to get a two dollar fix, any way I can find specs on this thing?
 
What is the Model Name. Not that Number, its an HP what. It should say in the BIOS setup.

I can't power it up therefore I can't see the BIOS setup or anything. I'm trying to find out how much memory it has. I'm guessing 128, but she said she put another one in which probably was another 128 stick. I'm trying to figure out what I could do with this thing besides mobile word processing and on the go stuff. Could turn into a nice little painting project. It weighs a ton.
 
With the right combination of software you could get about anything done on it.

I can do anything on my P233 notebook that I can do on my desktop. :)
