Just got my HP LP3065 and I been setting it up and played Half-Life 2, F.E.A.R., Age Of Empires III etc. No ghosting what so ever, and response feels direct. Zero dead pixels. Colors are outstanding, better than I have seen on any display. I had to turn the brightness way down so there is more than enough power to light it up in a well lit room. I'm still trying to get used to the sheer size and all this desktop space!

I'm looking to buy a 30 inch monitor for gaming only Are you going to game with this monster to? Can you put up some pictures thanks

Picture please, and yeah play some games with it native resolution then lower resolution to see how it scale. Also, some DVD Movie would be nice too. :D

$1619 + shipping, and yes I'm gaming with this monitor :D 8800GTX and Core 2 Duo 3.47GHz comes in handy. The result is simply amazing! Also I can have four browsers open and tiled on the screen, each one of them is as big and hold as much resolution as my one 15.4" 1280 x 800 notebook screen. :)

Can't go wrong with this monitor.

Sorry no pics. But scaling to 1280 x 800 is pretty clear. So if you have problems running some games at 2560 x 1600 this is a good option although everything becomes very big.

Does it scale to 1920x1200? If so, how does it look? I don't think my 8800GTS & X2 4600+ could handle 2560x1600, and playing at 1280x800 is... uhm... yeah... :)

Why would you ask that? He said "and played Half-Life 2, F.E.A.R., Age Of Empires III etc."!

Yes. I run Supreme Commander at 1920x1200 and it looks great. Then you always have 1280x800 to fall back on if your video card can't keep up, and you still get a native resolution. The colors are phenomenal.

The HP does have 3 DVI inputs though as opposed to one though and for some people, that's extremely important. Especially, ones that want to have more than one workstation hooked up to the display. KVM's supporting that resolution are hard to come by if at all. One of the Geffen models may be able to do it, but they make about the ugliest KVMs' in the industry. Excellent quality, but extremely ugly. :)

You guys with the new panels.Coud you make a quick test for me please?

Just preview 3D text sreen saver in windows.
Set the sreen saver to show time and for motion "rotation type" select none.

I am asking you because I have Samsung SyncMaster 214T and it is 8ms g to g by specification. And I can see that the motion of the text in the sreen saver is not fluent.
And because these new panels are 8ms g to g but they are LGPhilips it is interesting to me if you can see some ununiformity in the motion of the 3D text? If some one of you have old crt monitor or tv you can connect it to your comp and use dual view (extend the desktop) so the text will travel from LCD display to CRT display and you can compare.
Of course. I am not concern about the screen saver I am not using it. But it is imitating particular kind of paning of the video camera in moves - not very fast and not very slow. You can see that the movement is somehow chopped. In very fast and very slow scenes you cannot see it.

Also if you want you can make another quick test just listen some music with windows media player with visualization on and pause when there are many colors on the screen. Or you can use some beautiful picture with a lot of colours. Now change your viewing angle and see if you can notice some change in colours.

I will be very thankful if some body shares his experience.
