got my E6300 and DS3 ... :-D

Hey guys, finally i got all the pieces together. Here are the specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte DS3 (updated to F3 BIOS)
CPU: E6300 Allendale (says L625A623 on it)
Ram: 1Gb Corsair Twin2X DDR2 667 Kit
Gfx: X300SE (waiting till dx10)

I cancelled my P5B order because it was taking forever, so i pulled the trigger on the DS3. Yeah i was a bit wary of buying a gigabyte board...i always thought they were shit...but so far so good...except on the first few boots with the F1 BIOS it reported my CPU speed as 380 and 450 mhz...??

Updated to the F3 BIOS...and everything is running happily and quitely...

Currently im at 333FSB for 2.33Ghz but i havent spent much time on it...just chose 333FSB as it gave me a nice DDR2 speed for that ratio etc.

Will post more OC results soon.

And this, ladies and gentlement, is why I will never, ever buy a Gigabyte motherboard. Little quircks like this drive me absoloutely INSANE!

yeah this is why i also stay away from gigabyte boards...these things usually piss me off to the max, but looking at how well it overclocks its a very decent motherboard and ill hang on to it for the next 6-12 months until some insanely awesome mobos come out at good prices.

however i do hope they fiz this problem or at least i found out what the problem is with mine
