well as the title says i played with a new white macbook. all i can say is wow. even though i love my 12" powerbook to death there is something about new apples that gets me itching for an another. The glossy screen look far better than what i expected, not to glossy, perfect imo, and the remote with front row makes me jealous cause i had to resort to hacks to get it on the powerpc, i cant wait until i have a real reson to to buy a macbook pro

Made me wish that I could have waited for the MacBooks instead of getting my iBook last August. I loved them both. I do have to say though that I like the keyboard on the iBook much better than the keyboard on the MacBook, the keys just feel funny being spread out. I too wish I had a reason to buy one, but that would be stupid.

My blackbook is the best thing i have ever bought. You will never regret it, especially if you are student.

were the $100 really worth it?

I really love the mac books as well, but before you make a reason I would wait till WWDC, since they might be bringing out a new 12" or 13" MBP

Being that they just finished off the portable line, I don't think they'll be announcing anything at WWDC for another laptop.

It is apple you never know, and it is just an idea. The main thing they will announce as we know for now is Leopard (10.5) and mybe the Mac Pro (quad core) with the XServers

I dont see a 12 or 13in macbookpro comming out at WWDC, maybe eventually, but not this soon. However, i do see an update to the existing lineup of some sort, hopefully including Merom, and Leopard would be a plus...but i doubt it will be ready by then.
