You cant even preload the damn game from Steam yet and its not out in stores. It may be awhile before you get your screenies.
 
Having played it already the quality is pretty much the same, the only real difference I noticed was:

1. The multiplayer was actually fun.
2. The performance wasn't half bad either.

That was a few weeks ago, so they might have changed a few things by now.

I helped set up all the demo machines at NVISION, so we got some extra time "alone" with them. :D

One thing I noticed that everything was much more fluid, there was none of the stutter that was really prevalent in the original Crysis.

Do you recall the systems set up? and if it was Vista or XP?

I sure do, the systems were all using asus rampage formula mobos w/ e8400's, evga gtx260's and were running vista32 (can't remember the version) with 2gb of ram. Everything was stock @1680x1050 and since they locked down the settings I don't know what they were at but if I were to eyeball it I'd say it was running at least high settings, probably very high. The entire thing was amazingly smooth, so I'd say it was running somewhere north of 50-60 fps.

Now I could be wrong about the type of mobo, but I do remember for sure that they were e8400's+gtx260's.
 
Sure hope so, but then again, I must be realistic :)

I'll give my opinion on performance tomorrow, I pick it up at 10:30am.

Edit: Just looked at your sig,and we appear to be in the same boat :D

haha yup, i bought the card, and put off my new build for nehalem, but reality hit me when i looked at what i can do with the extra $$ and decided to screw nehalem and look up new parts again. Hopefully in the next month ill have them all :)

And if Warhead doesnt wow me, im gonna be pissed :p
 
Good to hear. I had decent performance with the original Crysis, but lets hope Warhead is better with more action.

I am doubting that Crossfire is fixed in Crysis. I bet the game performs reasonably better on Nvidia cards and the same or worse on ATi. Nvidia made a huge investment in Crytek, and they'll want to get their money back from people that are willing to spend $1000 on their hardware just to play an over hyped nature simulator.
 
so its the 17th... what time is steam going to let us download it???

I can't wait any longer :mad:
 
Will post mine tomorrow along with Fraps numbers with my ATI card. Here's to hoping "the way its meant to be played" doesn't hold true for Warhead as well.

Ok. I got ton's of screen shots.

Game is fricken awsome!! I can't wait to load multiplayer.

All settings set to Enthusiast (VeryHigh) with a EVGA GTX260 SC @ 1680x1050 I get an average of 22fps.

My cards is at stock clock speeds right now. I cant wait to OC this beast.

Screen shots are just now being uploaded. It will take a whil because they save in .bmp from fraps.
I will have them up in the next 20-30 minutes. sit tight.

my STEAM download is at 46%, and is moving at about 756kb/sec, I will post some when I get it up and running.

Oh wow, I see the performance has increased noticeably. :rolleyes: Ah, bullshit marketing trumps consumers every time.
 
Anyone find out if crysis: warhead has a frame rate test like the original? I got my copy from steam and I can't find the file like the original has.

Comparing Very High settings from original to Warhead.... warhead feels smoother.

photobucker is low to downsize the photo's. so the should downsize in a few minutes. sorry.
 
Nice screenies. At least it looks similar to the original (if not the same). I'll have to wait till the Steam d/l finishes to check it out. 130-140 KB/s is incredibly slow though :(. Probably not gonna finish until tomorrow.
 
I cant seem to upload pics, but my machine is running warhead with everything maxed at 24 fps and the first crysis was at 17-18. 1680x1050. Time to get a 260.
 
No screenies, but i was playing very briefly earlier. At 1680*1050 with everything set to gamer (high) i was averaging about 22fps.
 
Two questions:
1. Does it still take a full mag to kill an enemy?
2. Reviews/devs said that they were hitting 50 fps or higher. What's up with these rates?

it took them with fraps but the numbers are not showing up.

If it makes feel better inside....
in all the screen shot's my frame rate was above 20. (more or less ~23)

Developers lie, especially Crytek.
Reviews are complete BS.
