Do i need the DVI-D one?

X2GEN 22"... says it's got DVI Digital signal Input... i guess that's DVI D?

You want a DVI-D single link cable. Dual-link cables are not used until you hit above 1920x1200 resolution monitors (e.g. the 30 inchers)
