According to the Wall Street Journal, Google will soon be offering original content via "channels." Is it unrealistic to hope one of those channels is porn? Sure would make things easier on a guy. ;)

The company is planning changes to the homepage that would highlight sets of channels around topics such as arts and sports. YouTube is looking to introduce 20 or so "premium channels" that would feature five to 10 hours of professionally-produced original programming a week, one of these people said. Additional channels would be assembled from content already on the site.

Like things aren't easy enough as it is, in fact working a bit harder for some porn will probably make it feel better!

is it me or does youtube no longer show a progress bar (red overlayed the gray) for videos? I for one don't like that change!

It's just you. I'm using IE..7 at work and IE9 at home. On both browsers, I see the dark red progress bar as its 'downloading' the video and the bright red bar indicating how much of the video has been played/your current position.

Where are the Webdevs here?
The player runs in Flash guys. No matter what the browser the UI should be the same.

Not true. There's actually two seperate versions now. One using Flash and the other using GPU acceleration through HTML5. If you sign in/have a youtube account, you can setup in your preferences which you'd prefer to view. It requires a browser that's fairly recent though. IE8 or later from the Microsoft camp and I have no idea what firefox version. Probably one out within the last year.

You forgot to read who I was replying for. Does IE7 supports HTML 5? It's probable that the HTML 5 is not showing the progress bar. But we don't know since the person that posted doesn't specify what he's running.

The progress bar still shows up for me, although it's red over pink now instead of red over grey.

I did some research and found this:
http://www.youtube.com/html5

Don't make me laugh. It's FLASH or Flash.

Looks like Google ramping up for subscription based content once Internet 2 hits the store shelves.

Yup, it's pinkish for loading and bright red for playing. Been like this for a couple months now.
