Google Phone Tomorrow?

So the rumor of a Google phone is running rampant again today after the company invited the press to a briefing tomorrow to unveil a new “product for mobiles.” Anyone taking bets?

Google has invited us to a press briefing tomorrow morning. It's keeping schtum on the details, except to say that the event will present a 'product for mobiles'. So could a Google Phone announcement be on the way?

Yep. One with an "I'm feeling lucky" button that GPS locates, and then calls your girlfriend. :)

The Google phone will rock, I'm sure of it.
 
nah, no google phone. Too much too fast. Don't see it happening

I'd bet on a search / browser tool.

Maybe even a full operating system for the phone. That would be great b/c I'm really sick of everything on phones! Especially the crappy proprietary shit thats keeping me from using my own MP3 or Midi files for ringers! :(
 
Isn't Santa Rosa supposed to be officially announced tomorrow by Intel? Maybe it's something related to that...
 
I would buy a phone that had integrated Gmail and Google Chat, so long as the price is reasonable and the service is not locked into Suckular.
 
My money is on it being dubbed the iPhone. It'll compliment their new iGoogle homepage.
 
It's that new GOOG411 thing. Or is it 411GOOG? I can't remember. Been using it. It's 800-411-GOOG I think (or perhaps reversed). Either way, it's a great phone 411 service. It's still listed as a beta product... so maybe the announcement is that it's formally being introduced?

It's either that or some other software for phones. I'll eat my socks if they actually make a phone :p .

Yeah thats great unless your girlfriend and your best friend pushed their "I'm feeling lucky" button and you GPS locate them together....Hehe;)
