Hate it, driving me crazy every time I need to search something. Switching to Bing for now. If I want to play Pacman I'll play it...but not when I'm searching for something. I searched "Google pacman annoying" and many others feel the same.
Google broke the sacred trust of not putting anything annoying and distracting on their search page. I bet Bing usage skyrockets today.

I'm not hearing anything when I dont click on it. If you just let it be the game starts but no sounds play, and Pac-Man looks to be in a safe zone by default so you wont die either.
Once you click on the image the sounds start up.
Its still a fun gesture, IMO.

Really? It works in IE 8.
I'm told by someone (that I don't have 100% faith in) that this little Pac-Man clone of Google's won't play on an iPad.
While ironic to some degree, can anyone that might have an iPad try this before Google moves on to the next logo? I'm seriously curious about that...

What a pain in the a$$!
What's wrong with these dips? If you're using Google as you home page you can hardly get a search phrase entered before this BS begins and changes focus from the search entry.
What a bunch of dopes...
Guess you can't please everyone. I never see Google's home page as I use search bars. Would have never known this was here without someone telling me.

Just tried it on my iPad. I wasn't expecting it to work, but it does. A bit slow(feels like 15FPS), controls aren't very responsive, but it runs.

It's slow with IE 8, lags with Firefox 3.6.3, but plays perfect with Chrome 5.0.375.55 Beta!

Cry me a river. If it bothers you THAT much, start searching from the search box in your browser instead of actually going to google.com and then searching. A search bar beside the address bar has pretty much been standard for the past, what, two years now at the LEAST. I mean, the first thing you do when you download ANY browser now is set your search provider for the included search box. I haven't actually typed "www.google.com" in ANY browser for at least two years until I read this thread today.

In which case, all I have to say to him is, "oh, boo-hoo...the google logo is very unobtrusively the same size it always is, except it's a game at the moment and has no impact on search functionality whatsoever...THE HORROR!!!"
