Here's my Glasses with the shades I ordered with it. Also came with the Mono earbud charging cable and "case"
Last picture is of the display turned on.

Setup was super easy and I have to say the display is amazing. Walking around with the little screen on is super cool. Asking for directions is great, you can follow the map which is displayed as you walk...using your GPS from your phone (mine is android).

Loading contacts was easy, pulling from your gmail account. You can also set up shares with your Facebook account ect.

Taking pictures...umm, mixed bag here. Unless I'm doing something wrong, you cant pan the area to take the picture, compose I mean. When you say "take picture" it shows you whats in front of you that min. Horrible idea.

I also can't figure out why there isn't a "cancel" command so I can back out of something. Again I might be doing something wrong and or haven't discovered everything yet.

You can pull up a contact and email, call or message them. cool.

No problem with voice commands at all.

Big problem. I wear one contact lens for reading and I can't have it in when the glasses are on. I can only read the display with my lens out. So if I want to wear the glasses and then take them off I have to put on my "real" glasses to read. Very odd.

As soon as I play some more I'll report back.

.....just sent a text and made a phone call and both worked well.

....have had to reset the device twice because of problems getting features to work.

Curious, did you have to get an invite from a friend, or did you just ask Google to contact you if a spot became available? If from a friend, did you have to pay for the invite?

they were 1500 dollars. I know it's a lot of money but I really love them, wore them the entire day yesterday and I'm calling them my Christmas present.

Wow, nice! Thanks for sharing your story. I wish I could get my hands on one of these.... :D

browsed the Hard forum last night with the Glass. While its not perfect there are finger gestures :D that allow you to scroll and click links. Takes getting use to but it does work.

Well I write so it makes it very easy to answer and initiate calls, and texts. Also being able to shoot a video or take a photo is much quicker than my phone.

Google say they will sell the finished product for a similar price to a smartphone, well my glasses cost £150 anyway so another £150 won't be much.

thank you Harsaphes for sharing this evolving experience with us. appreciate the impressions
